Hurricane

We’ve all had relationships fail through out our lives…

Regardless of your situation, your career, where you live, or what you look like, it never gets easier to have a broken heart when you lose someone you love.

Consider this:

You’re stuck in the eye hurricane.

You pray for a way out on a daily basis.

You see people outside of the whirling waters – walking, running, talking, laughing.

But all you can think of is “How do I get to you?, How can I relate to you through this wall of suffocating madness?”

And you try. You try so hard.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes you can reach your arm out of the wall of swirling wind and water to touch someone, to physically feel their presence.

Sometimes, the madness is to fast to see anyone outside of where you stand – stuck in the eye of a hurricane.

Trying to lead a “normal” life.

But what you cannot see outside of your storm, is that the “normal life”, the life you long to touch, and feel someone next to you, is the same as your own.

We hurt each other, we leave each other because we feel as if no one understands our situation.

What we don’t take into consideration, is that everyone is suffocating in their own way.

Maybe the hurricane that surrounds you and spins you into dizzy spells, and makes you feel lost, makes you feel alone, makes you feel misunderstood and unimportant – maybe everyone’s hurricane is in their own eyes.. maybe everyone’s hurricane is only visible to themselves.

“Words as a Weapon” – Birdy

I feel your knife as it goes right in

Cut to my core but I’m not bleeding

All that you say trying to make me small

Well the bigger you get, the harder you fall

You use your words as a weapon, dear

But your blades don’t hurt when you have no fear

You think that you’re deep under my skin

You’re trying to keep me suffering

If you use your words as a weapon

Then as a weapon,

I’ll shed no tears

You have my heart but I lock it up

This burning flame has been burnt enough

My window’s cracked, but they can be replaced

But your arm will tire throwing stones my way

You use your words as a weapon, dear

But your blades don’t hurt when you have no fear

You think that you’re deep under my skin

You’re trying to keep me suffering

If you use your words as a weapon

Then as a weapon,

I’ll shed no tears

I feel your knife as it goes right in

You use your words as a weapon, dear

But your blades don’t hurt when you have no fear

You think that you’re deep under my skin

You’re trying to keep me suffering

If you use your words as a weapon

Then as a weapon, I’ll shed no tears

I’ll shed no tears

I’ll shed no tears
