Autoimmune Disease

Depression.

All it really is is a word.

or is it more than that?

To many of it’s unfortunate victims, it’s an entire world.

A World…

…where I’m not enough.

…can anyone even see me drowning?

…am I as productive as they want me to feel?

…where I can’t get out of bed.

…where the sun is such a distant reminder of what I could have.

A world where, what’s it gonna take?

Anyone who struggles with depression, don’t give up. Your story isn’t over.

You want to know the best news?

A whole new day starts tomorrow. With new sun, with new people, with new smiles, with new rain maybe.. But it also starts new, with an old God. Pray to him. And pray for your voice to be heard. Because it’s going to be ok. Do not, do NOT keep your thoughts inside. Someone waits just up ahead begging you to share your frustrations with this world. Begging you to share what has you so down. And He has so much good news for you. Don’t let your story end here. Start a new sentence in your new day. Start a new chapter and know that depression is something you struggle with, but it can NOT have you. You may have a disease. But that disease doesn’t have you. 💜💙

When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your love, O Lord, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul. Psalm 94:18-19
